Coverall Size Chart Guide
Comparing coverall sizes for major brands is time consuming and confusing as measurements differ by company. This blog outlines 7 major brand’s sizes as well as provides a universal guide to get fitted for coveralls. A coverall size chart for Carhartt, Dickies, Red Kap, Walls, Berne, Key, and Bulwark are provided as these companies make up the the majority of the market.
How to Measure
Measure outside of your clothes for accurate measurements. Also, all brands recommend to pick the larger size if you are in between their listed sizes.
- Chest: Measure just under arms and across shoulder blades holding the tape firm (but not tight) and level around the fullest part of your chest.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waistline while keeping the tape comfortably loose.
- Inseam: Measure along the inseam from crotch to bottom of leg hem. Alternatively, measure from your crotch to your desired pant length.
- Neck: Measure around the base of your neck with your forefinger between the tape and your neck to allow ease in fit.
Carhartt
Carhartt’s coveralls come in a wide variety of material, design, and function. Additionally, there are three buckets Carhartt identifies when choosing a size. Be sure to match the style with your chest and height measurements on the size chart. As you can see, you may need to increase your chest size depending on the product you are viewing.

Differences between Carhartt Coveralls Regular & Tall Sizing:
- Tall sizes are 1″ longer than Regular sizes.
- Tall sleeve lengths are 1″ longer than Regular sleeve lengths – does not apply to Coverall Style X06
- Short sleeve lengths are 1″ shorter than Regular sleeve lengths
